TECHNOLOGY LAB
Computing Science 10-20-30
Robotics 20-30
Our Technology Lab course blends computing science, robotics, and industrial design together into one flexible learning environment. We offer Computing Science at the 10, 20 and 30 level, with IB programming available at the 20 and 30 levels. Robotics is available at the 20 and 30 levels; students interested in robotics in grade 10 should take Computing Science 10.
These courses are designed so students with no experience can start with the basics and progress in different fields within computing science and technology studies. Each course has required modules, but also some electives for students to pursue the areas they are passionate about.
Our technology courses teach computational thinking, technical skills, and proficiency across multiple programming languages, with an emphasis on Python. Video game development using Godot, robotics programming using C++ or Java, and data science using artificial intelligence are common specializations. Robotics specialists can also diversify into industrial design using 3-D printing, laser cutting, and electronics.
